This silver coin is the first coin from the series with the design of gold goods, produced by nomads and found during archeological dig on the territory of Kazakhstan. The coin is made with the technology of gold plating on the surface.
Metal-plate in the form of lying deer. Gold. Burial mound. Almaty oblast. End of IV century – beginning of III century B.C.
Averse: the dodecahedron shape; the face value of the coin “500 TENGE”; the trademark of Kazakhstan Mint; the image of four galloping horsemen; “Ag 925 31,1gr.” means metal, standard of coinage and weight; two inscriptions “REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN” in Kazakh and English.
Reverse: the gilded image of metal-plate in the shape of lying deer; “THE GOLDEN DEER”, the name of the coin in Kazakh and in English; the heraldic spiral; two legends “THE GOLD OF NOMADS”; “2004” means the year of coinage.
Images and legends are relief.
Lateral surface is smooth without corrugation and inscriptions.
