Diameter – 31 mm, thickness – 2 mm, weight – 11,37 gram

Images and inscriptions of observe and back sides of coins are relief.

The lateral surface (drove) is grooved with 10 sectors of corrugation.

On the face of the coin (averse), on its upper side the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is located and under it there is a two-line inscription “50 TENGE”. From the right and left side of the denomination there is the element of national ornament. On the circumference there is the legend “National Bank of Kazakhstan”.

On the back side of the coin at the central part, there is a representation of the Memorial of Glory in the Park named after 28 guardsmen – “panfilovets” in Almaty. At the upper side the inscription “55 YEARS OF GREAT VICTORY” in Kazakh and Russian is located in four rows, in which is the composition of six five-pointed stars. At the bottom side the date “1945” appears, indicating the year of Victory in Great Patriotic War and the date “2000” appears, indicating the year of coinage.
